Interesting story. I enjoyed it. I like that you said you don't outline your stories. Neither do I. While our stories are different, there's a lot in common. I'm thinking I'll hang around ...

The story turns the familiar Helen of Troy myth into something much more personal, especially the moment when the narrator finally encounters the real Helen and has to choose between them. The ending, with her claiming the name Helen of Troy gives the whole story a powerful sense of identity finally becoming her own. Did you always plan for the narrator to choose “Helen of Troy” as her own identity after everything she experienced?
