What an interesting and enjoyable read! Now I need to know what Loki did after being freed... and why did they never think to try the venom on his bonds before???
What Loki does next is actually part of the myth of Ragnarok. He leads the forces against the gods on a ship made from the toenails and fingernails of the dead (norse myth is weird 🤢) and battles Heimdall, the far seeing watchman of the bifrost.
His escape from the cave is actually not a known part of myth (or, at least it was never written down on something that survived to modernity), which is why I decided to tell the story myself.

I'm so pleased you enjoyed it!

Wow Cory! This prose is absolutely beautiful. I've never been interested in Greek mythology until now. Very well done
Thank you! That really means so much 😊
And not to steer you in the wrong direction, but this story belongs to Norse mythology, not Greek, though there are similarities between the two!
